unexpected pretty good, but need some anwsers to questions!

hi,

the movie was really good.
it is not an horror movie, but a suspens-thriller-drame one, a little poke to John Carpenter.
it doesn't need a remake, it is already good as it is. Deserve to be seen !

it remindsd me jurassic park 2 in many scenes.

I just noticed only one stupid thing in the scenario : you cannot play hide&seek with dog at all! specially not at 1 or 2 meters behind a wall : dogs can smell you, even in the night. So, that part in the story was pretty stupid (liek the wife hidden behind a door or wall in front-corner of a dog ).

but questions :

1.
what was the kind of dogs ? Black and hair... maybe belgium sheperd ? tervuren...

2.
why did the couple not to try to get the cop weapon i nthe wreck car or on the body ?

3.
didn't they have smartphone ?

4.
was it real dead sheep in the field ? in the endtitle they said no animals was arned, but that did not avoid the use fact they could use alrealdy dead-corps of sheeps.

5.
was there any FX or are they some educated real dog ?

6.
where can we thing the end song ? It was "The pack" from Lenka singer. i own all Lenka records, and that song is not there !

7.
a last question. i know that is a movie, but, in the first scene where the man is killed, dogs run and grows but they didn't bark at all. Usually, a dog always barks before attack isn't it ?

have a good day

I think the dogs were long-haired german shepherds, possibly with their fur darkened in some way. My uncle has a long-haired gsd who looks identical, except his fur is the more traditional golden-colored face, chest and legs, with glossy black hair on the rest of the body.

Yeah, the dog prowling around while she hid was a bit funny. I can hide from my labrador (I put him in a sit stay in the kitchen, then will go upstairs or in another room and crouch behind a door or couch - I give him a treat when he finds me), but only for like a minute. And he isn't in the same room. He gets really excited and tears around the house, but if he were calmer and really trying to find me it would be no contest.

Based my knowledge of how wolves hunt, they wouldn't bark before they attack their prey. They bark when they're being territorial, trying to get your attention, or as a warning. But if they're stalking/hunting, they won't bark. They wouldn't systematically hunt down multiple humans (or anything, really) like that. If they got into a chicken coop, they may rip up several chickens, but that would take minimal effort - they're opportunistic hunters.

I liked this movie too (6/10), but some of it was pretty silly. If you like killer dog B movies, check out Zoltan: Hound of Dracula. It's pretty cheesy, but entertaining (and where else are you going to see vampire puppies??).

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

Seeing that they could hardly even pay their bills I don’t think they had smartphones. There is no mention of any cellar device.

The dogs dragged the dead officer away I suppose they could have found his dropped gun on the ground.
