question about Hallmark heaven (spoilers)

How come Harold (the angel) looks the age he was when he died in World War II , but when he meets his wife in heaven, who presumably died many years later, she doesn't look like an old woman, but conveniently still looks the same age she was when Harold died?

That's been the case in other films. Either that's how he remembers her. Or in her case, she goes back to a time when she was happy. Think of TITANIC where the end has her as Young Rose again.

Hi, lakealice! This was what I was thinking: the ending reminded me of the ending in the movie "Titanic". Did you ever see that? When the heroine Rose (Kate Winslet) passes away at a very old age, she transcends into "heaven" where her lover Jack (Leonardo DiCapprio) is waiting for her. He's at the same young age he was when he perished in the icy waters and Rose is young again, too. I just think it's a comforting depiction of heaven in that we are all young and perfect when we are being rejoined with loved ones in heaven. Please note (for anyone taking my post the wrong way) I am NOT trying to throw religion into this or say my opinion or view is correct. I just saw lakealice's question and wanted to share my thoughts. :)

In the movie, Somewhere in Time...it has the same kind of ending.

Maybe just think of it as... Heavenly Override. Just feel glad that the loved ones are finally reunited, in next life or after next, and don't think too much on these details.

on kind of a related note, if Henry died during WWII then why did it take 70 some years for him to even get the chance to earn his way into heaven? where was he all that time, Purgatory?
