When
When is this going to air, they said october 2015, it is now november, i guess they had problems with rights.

Plugging it to death on Channel 9 right now. It can't possibly live up to the hype.
I doubt it will go to air before the new year, December is a non-ratings period.

Umm ... Network 7 will be airing the documentary on Ian Meldrum, not 9.
As you stated I also doubt you will see it before February 2016 if they broadcast as per previous years. In other words, "after the tennis" - as with all major programs on Network 7.
HTH
Are we talking about the same programme?
Molly is not a documentary, it's a biopic, starring Samuel Johnson as Molly Meldrum.

Sorry, didn't realise I used the wrong description of the program ... yes ... the same program.
AFAIK there is only one program about Ian Meldrum going to air in the future.
Samuel Johnson as Ian "Molly" Meldrum ... 2 parts/episodes.
No worries. I got the channel wrong, so that's what caused the confusion.

well, Docu-drama, almost.
But yeah, 7 Network hype we have been putting up with for a few weeks now...
If it was 9, maybe it would have been even worse.
Actually more logical for 9 to have it, he did the spot on "Hey Hey It's Saturday" for years..
I guess NINE got burned too badly on 'GALLIPOLI" this time last year.
We haven't seen it yet pfarnell, but I doubt very much that it will be a docu-drama. It will surely be an entertainment piece, with no voice over or reference to facts and figures, as per a documentary.
The hype has gone on way longer than a few weeks, my original comment was back in November and it already felt like it had gone on too long then.
I believe all the commercial channels are just as bad with their over hyping of coming attractions, to the detriment of programmes that are currently airing. The banners across the bottom of the screen during shows are another example.
What makes it worse, is that they often mess around with the programming of these over hyped shows once they have began running, not this one I suspect. But much hyped series have their air times moved and repeats run mid-way through a series, until the viewers no longer know where they are and some, like me, give up on them.

I missed it!
Despite all the endless promotion, I never realised it went to air last Sunday, when I was out.
It is actually being repeated right now, but I'm not really in the mood.

You can watch it online for another 3 weeks (7 plus)
sharealways record/DVR!!
(it took me a week to get into 'mood" to actually watch part 2 , too..anyway, I did the two hours in one sitting once I got going)
