Why does it seem so many people didn't like S2?

I enjoyed it a lot because of all the twists and turns. It blew my mind. It may not be as good as S1, but it certainly wasn't anywhere close to dog crap I'm my opinion. I just don't understand why so many people think it's garbage.

Season 1 was great for me.
Season 3 and 4 the same.

Season 2 for me was mostly dream-like sequences with no plot moving forward. Weird camera angles and very slow pacing.
I go so far as to say i think one could even not watch season 2 and basically don't or hardly miss anything.
