not too bad

I mean, the premise is quite simple - the story seemed predictable, but it's a sci-fi, so I didn't mind it too much - I mean, it's nice to take a breather from all the crappy superhero films. Keanu's acting... was the usual subpar performance - though in this instance, it seemed worse because the role required a bit more acting than usual. Keanu is best when playing a person who is partially broken and is unable to display emotions - in this film he had to play a normal human, so the challenge was too great.

Having said that... the film was short, and.... it was interesting enough to warrant a single viewing.

Nothing subpar about Keanu Reeves..
He's the only reason I watched this movie.

reply

Agreed.

Keanu is like Nic Cage. He's always watchable, even when the film surrounding him isn't great. The dude deserves more credit.

It just felt like the movie needed a bit more polish. Other than that I liked it.

I enjoyed it and thought it was pretty good. Sci-Fi isn't 1 of my favs either. It least it had a decent ending. I'd certainly recommend.

the plot holes and stupidity were just too glaring.
you bring people back and they don't notice 3 weeks of their lives are missing?
they don't have any friends?
you deleted the memory of one family member from the other family members' brains, but what about all their online posts and relatives and friends?
no one from his wife's job bothers to check on her?
a super secret high tech startup has no security and doesn't notice ten million dollars worth of lab equipment missing?
you can download your brain in a minute through your optic nerve, and store it on a glorified laptop?
the same scientists who are masters of advanced androids are also masters of cloning? have they ever heard of scientific specialization?

reply

How Did This Get Made just did this movie. You hit many of their issues beat for beat
