Replicas-Replicants-Androids, all the same? Artificial human life is a very common premise for a science fiction film these days. Blade Runner(1982) explored this theme, and what it means to be human. What makes us different than them. It will be interesting to see how this film plays out.

I thought it was flatliners till the robots came out. So are the replicas just copyed clones or is their subjective consiousness actually actually getting moved?
From what it appears to me, the “robots” might merely be clones with his family’s memories (that he previously “collected”) implanted in them. Or not. In spite of the “been there, done that” vibe, the trailer makes things a bit confusing, and I admire that.
Blade Runner it definitely won’t be, but it might explore the same themes as said film. It looks somewhat intriguing and fun.
