Why didn't Tony Stark pass the Infinity Gauntlet to Thor to snap as he could take the full power of a star?

Wouldn't Thor survive?

TONY DONT SHARE!

There was no time!

That is the correct answer, taking the gauntlet off meant another delay, and giving Thanos another chance to grab the damn thing back and win with a snap of his fingers.

Now that doesn't mean that Tony intended to die, I don't think he did. I think he was so confident and so used to last-minute wins that he kinda thought it'd all turn out okay somehow. Well, it did, for everyone else...

Thank you

Thor tried to use the Gauntlet to bring everyone back and they stopped because they felt he would die.

Maybe I’m missing something but I’m still trying to figure out how Tony’s nano gauntlet was able to replicate the Infinity Gauntlet’s snap capability to the letter, especially with Tony not being able to reverse engineer or test run the original gauntlet combined with stones.

Yeah......I don't think you're gonna figure that one out.

??? "nano gauntlet"?

There's nothing special about the glove. (Either one). It's just a placeholder for the stones.

You're overthinking what the Gauntlet does. It's merely a conductor for the power of the Infinity Stones. The simple act of wielding them is enough to grant the user their power. He could just as easily held them in his hand, were humans strong enough to hold six Infinity Stones. All his armor did was allow him to hold them without dying for long enough to use them.

The MCU started with Tony / Ironman, so they wanted to bring it full circle by having him do the honors of wiping out Thanos, who'd "been in his head since the NY attack". Tony was the face of the Avengers, so no one else could do such a pivotal move other than Cap, who was also retired in his own way. Thor was always an outsider who just fought along with the team at key battles.

Game of Thrones should've followed suit and had Jon Snow kill the Night King to properly end his arc, rather than Arya, who should've assassinated Cersei (wearing Jamie's face).

Also, IMO Infinity War > Endgame
