The X Men on a second timeline or MCU earth

Ok this how I think the X Men should join the MCU and that’s opening a second earth or timeline.

I’d say reboot without abandoning what we have right now.
Kevin Faige hiring a subdirector to open a new a MCU so he can he can continue working on what we have.

Yes I’m talking about in the second MCU or timeline

going back to the original 6 with a whole new cast and maybe doing origins story of each one a little differently maybe this time Tony Being taken in Vietnam and a little twist having Hank Pym and Janet as original avengers for a second timeline that way when the new actress that will be playing Wanda Joins she is a mutant and the daughter of Magneto.

And the movie releases would go each year two films for the current timeline we have been following so far and two releases for the second timeline, second MCU or however you guys want to call that

reply

I think it will be easier for everyone if the X-Men just hop over from another universe or something and it goes from there.

reply

It's the only way that makes sense. Wasn't mutants on Earth since the time of Egypt and ww2? Can't really say ohh we forgot about those guys.

reply

That’s right. But maybe they’ll still attempt to explain their absence all this time without needing to go the alternative universe route. Nah, it’s pretty difficult to see that happening (unless they completely reimagine the X-Men).

We’ll see.

reply

I hope you're wrong and frankly with Xavier being in control of peoples' minds you can just say he kept mutants a secret for many years to protect them from humans that want to hurt them. I am so tired of the TC and so many others insisting mutants can't work in the MCU world. They can do any number of things to explain it. They don't need to say they are from an alternate dimension.

reply

That makes sense too, saying they come from a different universe of the multiverse.

reply

Having them in a different dimension or time line would allow them to keep their history intact such as Magneto being in a concentration camp. If the existed in the current time line (unless their powers have some sort of hold on aging) the older guys like Magneto and Xaviar would be dead.

However I do see how it could be altered to fit the current timeline if that's where they exist, but it would erase most of their history.

reply

So cool you are with me it’s a good idea to start a second timeline or Marvel earth/universe. You know I was thinking it’s a win win the X Men are introduced with their origins untouched and we get new OG 6 with more comicbook accurate origins and events.

I love how the MCU has gone so far and knew very little about comics before I got interested in the MCU but the more I loved the franchise I read some info about the comics and I thought hey it could be interesting to have two MCUS.

The one we have so far more family friendly which I don’t think there is anything wrong on superhero films being that way and I don’t feel it takes them off quality at all and one more adult oriented to treat some events the the more family friendly avoids.

Many fans scream about not getting the proper story of Demon in a bottle. That they wanted it badly and it’s one of Iron Man’s best stories and maybe a second MCU could give them so.

reply

The changes they make to the source material don't normally bother me too much. Where as the comics have different universes such as Earth 616 or the Ultimates, I just view the MCU as a different universe instead of a carbon copy. So some events are inspired by the events in the comics, but not handled the exact same way which doesn't bother me.

We already know a multiverse exists because of Endgame and the upcoming Doctor Strange, but I wouldn't want them to use that to revisit stories we've already seen and just tweak them a bit. I would want it for the sole purpose of introducing new heroes without destroying their history. Because if they introduce the X-men in the current day MCU without bringing them from another dimension Marvel would need a new way to explain how all these mutants got their mutations, erasing their comic history in the progress or if they wanted to keep the comic history mostly intact, they'd have to explain where the mutants have been during all of these world threatening events.

I don't think the movies are any more family friendly than most comics honestly. There were parts of Endgame that honestly surpised me such as Hawkeye as Robin cutting that Asian mob bosses throat and Thor decapitating Thanos. Since the next Doctor Strange is supposed to be more horror oriented, I'm interested to see how far they'll go.

As far as the X-men team though, I'd be okay with the originals. Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, Xaviar, and Ice Man. I'd honestly be okay with them having the first couple X-men movies in a different dimension and then bringing them together to the main MCU in a sort of Avengers vs X-men event.

reply

Hey I agree so much with you on this: I also see the MCU as a different universe in the multiverse, a different earth maybe highly inspired by earth 616 and ultimate but at the end it’s a different one, just like Avengers Assamble and Avengers earth mightiest heroes.

The current timeline has some more adult oriented films but still stay in the PG area which is totally fine, I’m not one of those obsessed with something being edgy or dark to be good.

Some say Ragnarock was a bit too violent for a PG movie and I feel like Iron Man had its fair share of moments which pushed just a little the boundaries of the PG rating lol 😂.

But at the end all are great movies, well most the only one I really didn’t like was Thor the Dark world but still worked fine for the Eye Candy ( Chris Hemsworth looked so hot in that one).

Anyway I wouldn’t mind if they made a second MCU or timeline to fix some “mistakes” of the current universe.
Imagine a new MCU with the original Avengers being the same as the ones we had in earth mightiest heroes and revisiting some events differently imagine having another Ultron movie this time created by Hank Pym.

A second earth could be so practical for so many cool stuff, starting with introducing characters that need their origins intact and could suffer major changes if introduced in our current earth.

But it can work for a new generation love their own : Tony, Steve, Hulk and Thor and this time getting the original Ant Man and the Wasp.

I love Scott Ant Man but I’m interested in seeing a film about the originals while they were young.
Now another film I’m interested in seeing, I don’t know if marvel would do it but : I want a film about The Valkyries and how stayed with just one surviving.

reply

Regardless what they decide to do, I'm excited for it. I'm mostly excited to see how much of the multiverse we'll get to explore and also the introduction of Blade considering he's usually more adult oriented. The MCU has maintained a pretty good track record as far as their films go, so I have faith in them.

I honestly feel something about The Valkyries would work better as a series. Personally I'd like to see more about the background of The Black Order.

How do you feel about the Marvel Netflix shows? Do you view them as canon within the movies, or as their own thing? Are you excited for the upcoming Disney+ shows?

reply

Yes, I’m sure they will do the X Men justice and make them interesting to all of us.

I don’t mind if they do a mini series about the Valkyries instead of a movie but I’d be happy with a movie as well. But just do something with them. I really like Valkyrie she is one of my girls of the MCU along with Scarlet Witch.

So a film about how she survived the massacre of the Valkyries and know more about the whole group would be really interesting.
I really like Tessa Thompson in this role she is badass and fun.
One of my favorite new coming actresses right now.

The nextflix shows I don’t consider them too canon because I don’t feel them essential to understand the infinity Saga and particularly Endgame.

reply

Absolutely! Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie was one of the best parts of Thor Ragnarok. When they announce there would be a female Thor in Thor Love and Thunder I figured they should pass the mantle to Valkyrie because she's already an established badass. But instead we're getting Jane Foster. I think Marvel will still knock it out of the park, but Valkyrie as Thor would've been so cool.

I completely agree. The movies seemed canon within the shows, but considering the movies never mentioned the shows, I don't see them as canon either. Not only that, but the shows were all handled by Marvel Television which is different than Marvel Studios. Since Marvel Studios basically dissolved Marvel TV though, all the future shows on Disney+ will be canon which I'm really excited for.

Now I just wish they'd wipe that awful Inhumans show off the face of the Earth and make it a movie as it was originally intended.

reply

She was so cool in Thor Ragnarock and her chemistry with Chris Hemsworth was perfect o really loved them together.

And she didn’t pass the mantle of Thor but he made her the Queen of new Asgard which Is pretty cool.
Maybe Taika Waititi finds a way to make Jane interesting and salvage that character, he is a pretty good director. So I think we can trust him to make a pretty good film with love and Thunder.

About the shows I’m really excited about the Disney+ all look so good. I’m especially interested in Wanda Vision and Loki but all look fantastic.
You I know I was thinking it would be so cool if marvel remakes the animated series Avengers earth mightiest heroes in live action Disney+ and maybe see the X men first in it and then jump to the films.

reply

I really am excited to see her role as king of New Asgard, and at Comic Con a year or so ago Tessa Thompson mentioned that she may be looking for her queen, which seems to indicate her being gay? Queen Darcy anyone?

I've got faith in Taika. I haven't seen one of his movies that I didn't love honestly.

Mostly can't wait for the introduction of the X-men and Fantastic Four.

reply

It’s gonna be really interesting getting The x Men and fantastic 4 into the MCU and I guess the fantastic 4 even more.

The X Men are great characters but they have had some good films already, the fantastic 4 have always flopped on screen so we all have hopes the miracle of getting a good F4 film will happen once they are in the right hands.

I have a few fan casting choices for the X Men

For jean Grey I’d like them to get Lily Collins
For Magneto i think Tom Cruise would be amazing
For Charles XAvier Brad Pitt.

For this duo of friends turned enemies I think it would be really interesting to have them not as young as Michael Fassbender and James McVoy but also not as old Ian McALlen and Patrick Stewart.

reply

I mostly just can't wait to see the X-men in a universe with the rest of the Marvel universe. It's a shame when they're finally introduced though we won't have some of the heavier hitters like Iron-Man and Captain America.

For fan casting I haven't really thought much into the X-men, but for fan casting the F4 I seem to agree with a lot of other fan castings. John Krasinski as Mr Fantastic, Emily Blunt as Invisible Woman, Zac Efron or Dacre Montgomery for Human Torch, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Dr Doom.

I can't yet think of anyone I'd like to see in the role of The Thing. I was initially thinking David Harbour, but since he's the Red Guardian now I don't see that as a likely possibility.

reply

Yes, it’s really sad we won’t have the original Avengers with the X Men could have been so nice to have Tony and Steve interacting with Wolverine.

That’s another good reason to have a second earth on the MCU to give the X Men screen time with the heavy hitters even though it’s not the cast we already fell in love with.

It will be really hard to cast Tony Stark/Iron Man for a second time them same goes for Captain America.

Thinking of re casting I’m feeling quite sad for Hugh Jackman that movie sites are going that fast into a new Wolverine.
It’s like Hugh Jackman was never really that important to his role.

No one is talking about re casting Iron Man or cap instead those same sites or just going with which characters will carry on with their mantles. Because the press does see them as irreplaceable

But with Wolverine everyone is going like yeah we can replace Hugh Jackman with Tom Hardy or Scott Eastwood and if something Fox did very well was Casting Wolverine.
Hugh as Wolverine is part of my top most perfect casting choices ever and movie sites going like it’s no big deal re casting him makes me sad.

reply

The reason they're not talking about recasting Tony Stark or Steve Rogers though is because they're not being introduced in a new series like Wolverine would be. It makes sense for all of the X-men to be recast since there will be a new iteration of them in the MCU, which wouldn't be the case if they wanted to recast Iron Man or Cap.

I love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine as much as the next guy, but I'm open to a new Wolverine. The introduction of the X-men in the MCU though is still quite a few years away so it'll be a while yet.

reply

Yeah probably I’m overreacting and it’s not like they don’t feel like Hugh was important enough for the role just that the MCU is doing it’s own version of the X Men and will want their own cast chosen by them.

Probably if they made that second MCU the media would be talking about recasting Tony and Steve.

reply

I personally don't think they need to be from another dimension. Plus the comics already have done the Mutants age slower than normal humans thing. Heck, I have been reading older X-Men comics for a while and because of Cyclops' father being a mutant, he looks the same age as Cyclops when they first meet. So yeah. That's how you explain Magneto still being alive and so old. He's a mutant and mutants age slower than humans. That also would cause a lot of prejudice from humans who maybe jealous of that fact. Frankly though I want an entire reboot of X-Men.

I hated how they did Rogue and I want a reboot so Rogue can be the assertive badass from the comics who will hurt people with her power if they hurt her friends. I also want a Cyclops who is the leader of the X-Men and for him to get more focus along with other X-Men. I want to see Bishop in a lead role in the movie too. And also have Gambit as a lead in an X-Men movie since he was snubbed by Fox because the guy they hired to direct the X-Men movies hated him. I also want to see other villains not done in the Fox movies such as Mr. Sinister, Mojovision, Sauron, and Arcade.

I want to see Mystique as the Leader of the Brotherhood instead of Magneto. I want to see the X-Men go to the Savage Land. I want to see Cyclops' father who is a space mercenary. I want to see the Shiar like Lilandra and Gladiator. I want to see the things we were denied by Fox come to fruition with Marvel. And that's not going to happen if they try and fit the continuity of the older movies done by Fox into the MCU. And I'm sick of this talk from fans of the older X-Men movies. Then again some of them on imdb who might also be on here hated the 90s X-Men cartoon and don't want anything from that to be in the movies.
