mantis question...

what can she do in battle? i thought her power was putting people to sleep.

Zzzzzzzzzzz, huh? Wha?

Infinity War provided the answer to this: Kick names, take ass. :)

But for real, if you look closely during the battle (especially in the background) you can definitely see Mantis helping out. For instance, just before Thor & Cap epically switch weapons, in the background she’s seen putting one of the large aliens to sleep.

And although she’s capable of more in the comics, I do love the way she’s been handled in the films — by no means has she been useless. *Maybe* we’ll see her kick more names and take ass in the next Guardians.

She was actually in the front lines, running into battle and screaming along with the others after the "Avengers ... assemble" war cry.

It's kind of hilarious - even running and screaming, she looks awkward. Which kind of makes it more awesome that she's so fearless.

And yes, during the "you get the little one" scene, she not only puts a gorilla-thing to sleep, but gives is a little kick to make sure before running off.

She's pretty valuable in battle.

Oh I definitely noticed Mantis running into battle on my first viewing of Endgame. I probably noticed her in the battle before I noticed Banner at all (though that’s maybe because I kept wondering how valuable she could actually be in battle, so I kept my eye on her).

But I agree, while she did look awkward running along with everyone (then again she always looks awkward), you can tell her mean face was no joke. :} She’s great.

Mantis's awkwardness isn't as bad as Gwyneth Paltrow trying to act hard, hahaha.

thanks..i will look for that scene. i like the character and the actress that plays her.

A sleeping soldier is a dead soldier

reply

Well honestly she is probably one of the most powerful characters in the mcu if she could put powerful people like Thanos and Ego to sleep.

Exactly..
