Instead of Steve Rogers going back in time it should've been Dr. Strange. Strange could do it more easily since he can just open a portal to each of the six locations. Or maybe Rogers was looking for an excuse for a Peggy Carter booty call.
shareI agree, it makes more sense for Strange to be the one to return the stones, though I think he should have kept the time stone after he talks to bald lady in 2012, stating he needs it in the post-Thanos era to protect the timeline from further incursions.
