MCU next big three? (Marvel Trinity)

who do you think should be the next big three for MCU? (New Marvel Trinity)

here what happened to the current marvel trinity: Tony stark is dead. Steve Rogers is old and retired. Thor is fat and joined the GOTG.

here are my picks:

1: Doctor Strange.

2: Black Panther.

3: Captain Marvel.

or

1: Spider-Man.

2: Captain Marvel.

3: black Panther.

who do you want as the new big three for MCU?

they might give us a hit or tell us when phase 4 starts.

Spider-Man
Doctor Strange
Ant Man

why Ant-Man?

reply

because he actually has a personality and is not boring, unlike Captain Plank and Black Panther.

reply

I like Ant Man too, his powers are a bit of a joke but i like Scott’s personality and Paul Rudd is really fun to watch.

reply

He's funny and his powers are cool.

My first reaction is to resist the temptation to bestow a moniker onto a group of Marvel Characters, ie Marvel trinity. When the MCU started I don't think those three were ever intended to be the lead, anchor or even stand-out characters to become a trio. RDJ was of course the most dominant personality and Chris Evans wasn't even in the group photo after Captain America The First Avenger for most as a stand-out character. Being a Captain America fan Steve rogers was always the reason the MCU was going to be successful.

With that little rant out of the way:

Captain Marvel
Black Panther
Spider-Man
Doctor Strange

I just kind of reject the notion that it has to only be a troika. The strength of this Marvel endeavor called the MCU is and will always be the Characters, "all of them". Now that the MCU has been started and the premise of a Military Industrialist, a time-jumped Super Soldier, a reformed assassin, an operative (Hawkeye), a paranoid Director of Spies (Nick Fury), an Alien God, and a gamma radiated raging Man-Beast (Banner) coming together to form a Band is all the masses needed.

Gateways have been opened that require so many different skill-sets, powers and abilities that it will always be an ensemble that will carry the load.

Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Dr. Strange and Spider-Man the bridge for the future.

Should be Captain Marvel, Black Panther and Spiderman, but this Spiderman is laughable and needs a reboot. Iron Patriot is a snoozefest. Doctor Strange is a one trick pony. Maybe Nighthawk?

reply

no reboot. this is the 3rd Spider-Man we have. so no more reboot.

reply

Howard the Duck
Cosmo the Space Dog
Squirrel Girl

reply

why there guys? there guys are useless.

Sarcasm isn’t your thing, is it?

I'll probably go see Dr. Strange II and Spiderman.

I don't plan to see Captain Marvel or Black Panther. I'll catch them on TV at some point but not go to the theater.

I'm ready for Guardians of the Galaxy III, I wish it was ready to go now. It's funny that I like those films so much considering I'd never heard of these comics at all and ten minutes into watching the first one on Netflix after seeing some talking Raccoon and some weird tree that only says "I am Groot" I was probably thinking what in the world is this weird movie but it is one of my favorite Marvel saga.

If they are going “cosmic level” in the next phase:

Captain Manhate...errrr...Marvel
Nova (Richard Rider)
Quasar (Phyla-Vell)

Others to consider:

Kallark (Gladiator)
Adam Warlock...was teased already
Wonder Man...who had a close relationship with Danvers in the comics
Moondragon...more SJW/LBGTQ!
Beta Ray Bill

They could also cycle in a new team of characters for GotG, or even introduce the Starjammers.

Of course, we pretty much know the FF and Silver Surfer will eventually be introduce now that they own their rights.

I think Black Panther will continue to work better in a solo capacity, and brought in for special appearances, similar to Spider-Man.
