It's not like BW ever did anything interesting.
She was just on the team to be the girlfriend of the male heroes who didn't have an established girlfriend.
It was weird how the Black Widow and Hulk relationship was barely touched on in Endgame.

Also, in Age of Ultron Black Widow was still the only female Avenger (Scarlet Witch joined only at the end). Since Scarlet Witch makes Hulk go on a rampage, Whedon wanted a female character to have a "King Kong" style moment, where the beast is soothed by a beautiful woman. Nevermind that Banner is supposed to be in love with Betty Ross, Whedon just decided to pair up two random Avengers
Even if you didn't like their relationship in Ultron, it still happened and barely addressing it in Endgame was an odd choice.
