Small rant: The Hulk... and other stuff (spoilers inside, so read at your own peril)

Yet again the director(s) saw fit to absolutely shit on the Hulk. He had exactly one movie where he was a true powerhouse, and one to be feared (rightfully so): Avengers 1... After that, IM beats him and it's all downhill after that. Also, he has no shown healing factor, and only slightly implied to get stronger with how pissed he is...

In IW, he gets beaten hard by Thanos and apparently doesn't want to fight for Bruce. In EG there's no resolution to that, and instead "poof", he's gone, and replaced with "Professor Hulk" - no ferocity, no great moments, nothing that made Hulk Hulk! Granted, the old Hulk in the time travel part was fun enough, there just aren't any awesome moments for him.

I was also annoyed with how they nerfed Thor - he should be able to 1v1 Thanos, as seen in the end of IW.

Also slightly annoyed they just HAD to show Superma... I mean Captain Marvel overpowering Thanos physically, and thus showing to be superior to everyone else with her god damn smug face, and how he HAD to use the power stone to knock her into orbit (which was very satisfying - even though Capt. Marvel was a decent enough movie). Just felt it was out of place to have her outshine the other "powerhouses", in their "last-ish" movie.

With that out of the way, it was overall a very good movie, and I liked it. ;)

100% agree. Marvel hasn't done a good job with the character since his solo movie back in 08. He's been reduced to taking selfies....Seriously?

I didn't like the new BruceHulk being his permanent state. It would have been better to have him transform his body as he did before, while his mind remained "Bruce" throughout.

The CGI is great but emotion driven scenes like mourning for Natasha are much better delivered by a live actor.

I was okay with how they did Hulk in this one. Anyone remember the version of Hulk called Joe Fixit? I think that would make a great solo movie for him.

Now that the Avengers I loved and read about in comics are pretty much out of the picture, I probably won't be going to too many of these team-up movies any way. Sure, I'll still go see the solo runs like Black Panther, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Black Widow, Hulk (if they make one), etc ...but I don't care much for this version of Captain Marvel and have zero interest in watching her lead a new team.

Sorry if that means I'm not woke and a hater.

The Hulk is dependent on Banner's psychology and he's had many different version. But, there was no boring Hulk who is okay with being Hulk and a normal guy at the same time who doesn't care.

The film shows Hulk and Thor as cowards. They get beaten then broken and can't get over it.

A fighter who only fights when he knows he can win is a coward. That was the complete opposite of what these characters were designed to say.

Totally agree !!!

The Hulk is an absolute powerhouse and through the generations his power has been pretty much unrivalled and how unpredictable his anger is is what makes him as character !

In this film he is mostly reduced to a boring know it all who actually mocks what he once was !
