remember Tony's vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

i think it came true in Avengers: Infinity war & Endgame.

I got this fact form IMDB:

in the final battle, Thanos breaks Captain America's shield in half, fulfilling the prophecy in *Avengers: Age of Ultron*. Also shown in the vision is Hulk injured and unable to fight, similar to *Avengers: infinity War*, Black Widow dead in the same position as she dies in "Endgame", and Thor appearing to be dead in the same position as when Thanos wounds him with stormbreaker in the final battle.

what do you think? and maybe Tony's vision was one of the possible outcomes DR. Strange saw in IW?

It doesn't explain why Hawkeye is just sitting there.

what?

maybe he's dead.

Well then that debunks this theory.

reply

yep.

Seems to me it reinforces it.

Tony's vision was from the other side of the wormhole in "Avengers," which suggests it's just his own imagination at work, aided by Wanda's "weird" magic.

One thing I did read online, though, was the notion that both Thanos and Tony got information from their future selves, perhaps inadvertently, due to messing with the stones when they did.

Thanos and Tony got information from their future selves? what?

It was an under-explained fan theory on one of those click-bait banner ads - it's pretty weak now that I think about it

Thanos did wind up getting information from the future, but through Nebula not the time stone

And there's no reason Endgame-Tony would send info back to Ultron-Tony after what Strange told him ("if I tell you what happens, it won't happen)

So yeh ... I still think it's less of a "prophecy" than Tony's own imagination. If it looks "fulfilled," that's just the Russos paying homage to Whedon.

I remember he had one and it freaked him out.
I can't recall anything he saw in the vision, I'd have to see the movie again.
