Believe the hype!!!

Endgame is the best MCU movie of them all. It has something for everyone. Laughs and tears in equal measure and an appearance by just about everyone who has been involved over the past 11 years.

Do not stay for any post-credits scenes, there aren't any. The sign-off credits for the original Avengers are worth hanging around for.

I only liked Iron Man. I doubt this will please me.

reply

If you liked Iron Man you'll love Endgame.

reply

But I hate Thanos and the Infinity Stones are dumb.

reply

Tony saves the day, it's Iron Man's finest moment.

reply

I was reading comments from people who already saw the movie , and basically
it has massive plotholes and f***s up the entire MCU timeline because of time travel not handed properly
reply

Not handled properly? Time travel is fictional so any way it's handled is fine and the way it was handled in Endgame was excellent.

reply

It was handled poorly
present day Nebula kills past Nebula but doesn't vanish from existence? Loki dies in the present but we have now a 2012 version of Loki running around because he excaped th battle of NY with the tesseract?
just to name a couple

reply

Well get in your time machine go back a couple of years and suggest to the Russos how to go it better. You being a time travel expert and all.

reply

Those were plot holes. The hulk/banner perfectly explained why changing the past doesn't effect the present you came from. Meaning it doesn't matter what you do in the past.

Now the fact that they just didn't go back and ask their past selves to borrow the stones and save trillions, rather than go through a convoluted heist plan, is kind of a plot hole. But I enjoyed the ride so I'm not complaining.

reply

Did you miss the bit where they explicitly stated that it was nothing like Back to the Future?

reply

Only nerds like superhero movies...

reply

Then why are you even on this board?

reply

For the lolz

reply

Please tell us, in detail, why Endgame is the best Marvel movie of them all.

That is a large claim. It deserves a well-rationalized explanation.

reply

When everyone's seen Endgame I'd be happy to discuss it. Until then I'll hold off.

reply

Cool. I guess you’ll be deleting your post then...

reply

That won't be happening. Sorry(not sorry).

reply

Then what is the point of this thread if you aren’t prepared to discuss the film?

reply

It’s emotional, funny, surprising and incredibly well paced. If you’ve been watching these movies for the characters and not the CGI spectacle (although it does have plenty of that as well) then you will be very satisfied.

Endings are also very difficult to pull off so extra props to the writers/directors for not falling at the last hurdle.

I personally think it’s the best ending film to a franchise I’ve ever seen, better than Return of the Jedi, The Dark Knight Rises and maybe even Return of the King because it doesn’t end about 20 times.

reply

It was ok, but Avengers:Infinity War was far better, this movie was a little boring in places, the finale was good but its overhyped much like all Marvel movies are, and I’m not a DC fanboy, I just watch them once, usually enjoy them but find them mostly forgettable.

For me Infinity War and Winter Soldier are still the best Marvel movies.
