MCU next big bad?

after the Avengers defeated Thanos for good. who do you think should be the next big bad for MCU?

here are my picks:

1: Doctor Doom.

2: Galactus.

3: Norman Osborn.

who do want as the next big bad in MCU?

they might give us a hit in the post-credit scene in Spider-Man for from home.

reply

Don't forget about Kang/Immortus...or maybe Molecule Man.

reply

Hopefully Kang or Doom

reply

how about magneto?

reply

Ehhh, would rather it be Doom if they decide to go Earth-bound baddie.

Doom is more untapped and Magneto has been vetted well enough in the X-Men movies.

reply

I think Dr. Doom may be the next decade-long villain. I assume that the next 10 years will see the Fantastic Four and X-Men join the Avengers as the core of the MCU, and Dr. Doom has not been as effectively depicted onscreen as has Magneto. However, I lean more towards the idea that the Silver Surfer will show up heralding the appearance of Galactus, and the Infinity War/Endgame of 2028/29 will be the battle to save the Earth from him.

reply

Kang actually MAY work if Endgame involves time travel that would get the attention of the conqueror and could end up with the return of those who die this time around (conveniently recast) because Kang will want “real challenges”.

reply

Darkseid would be cool.

reply

Darkseid is DC not Marvel.

reply

He knows.

reply

ok than.

reply

Nothing about the DCEU is cool.

Less sucky is the best you can hope for.

reply

At least someone got the joke. Lamb0 to the rescue!

reply

Evidently phase 4 will be more in the cosmic realm of the universe so I'm thinking someone like Galactus or maybe even Annihilus.

reply

The Beyonder would be great, and Secret Wars provides a way to give the actual comic book introduction of Venom to the MCU. I'd hope by that point Disney will have bought up some more movie studios and have the rights to everything. :)

reply

Strong rumor that Annihilus will be the next GotG bad guy.

reply

I don't imagine he'll be a main villain anymore, but do you think Thanos will be out of the equation completely after Endgame, or do you think he may pop up as a side villain? I'm just curious to see what anyone else thinks because if Annihilus is the next big bad leading into a storyline similar to Annihilation, Thanos was in that story also as well as Galactus.

reply

In the comics, he almost kinda-sorta made a face turn. That could happen here.

reply

I'd love that to be honest. He's such a great character.

reply

I would love to see them battle the Great Old Ones. When Thanos is defeated, the energy released from whatever way they are able to beat him tears a hole into another dimension allowing Cthulhu, Hastur, Nyarlehotep and friends to re-enter this universe.

reply

Galactus as the next big bad that brings together earth’s mightiest heroes (and the Guardians) to save the day would certainly make sense. Out of all the ones mentioned, it arguably doesn’t get any bigger than him.

That said, I think Dr. Doom should appear in the MCU before any of these other big guns do. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a Fantastic Four film or a yet-to-be-announced team-up film, but he’s an incredible character that just deserves to be done justice on the big screen.

Other villains I’d personally like to see:
Annihilus
Mephisto
Kang the Conqueror
The Sinister Six (those will obviously be more of a Spidey film kinda deal though)

reply

Masters of Evil feels way overdo at this point. Marvel has to stock killing off its bad guys for this to work though.

reply

True. I am nonetheless interested in seeing some of these villains in the MCU (and if they can make it past one movie, then great).

reply

Doom. It's always Doom.

reply

I think Norman Osborn is a better choose.

reply

He's a Spider-Man villain. Sony might want a piece of the pie if he's featured in any other Marvel movies. I hear they get all the box office on the Spider-Man solo films and Marvel just gets the merchandise.

reply

I believe he's more then a Spider-Man villain. in the Dark Reign comic era Norman Osborn turned into one of Marvel's greatest bad guys and he formed he own Avengers team.

I think they already teased him in MCU. like he could be the man who bought Avenger tower.

This guy... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmCuLJjWl2M

PRobably won't happen, but would be interesting.
