Really good but a bit disappointing

Don't get me wrong. It's really good but also a bit disappointing. But also calling it disappointing would be unfair because this was basically a first half of a very long film. So yeah I'd give it 8/10. The next part will definitely be epic.

Anyone else feel the same?

I felt very fulfilled. On one hand, yes, there is more story yet to be told, but that was a complete film in and of itself. That is not something you can say about any other two-parters that I can recall.

Thanos embarked on an epic quest, and he succeeded. From the standpoint of the Avengers that doesn't make for a happy ending, but that's life. In this case, the hero is the one we perceive as the villain. Think of this as the superhero equivalent to Chinatown or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, or any of those '70s movies that had realistic but less-than-happy endings. To me, that is bold and bad-ass, and the film was fantastic the whole way through, and that haunting ending. 10/10 from me.

More disappointing than Smaug flying off to Laketown and the movie just ending??

Is that how the Hobbit actually ended? I fell asleep in the first one-- only time in my life I've ever fallen asleep in a theater-- and didn't bother to see the next two.
