RT completed another Revamp of their site and Audience Scoring

http://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/article/introducing-verified-audience-score/

Why put this here? Because there is a squadron of posters who feel that CM and Brie Larson received unwarranted, undue and unfair protection from the suits or so-called Disney Sleeper cells within RT.

In February we ditched our pre-release “Want to See” percentage in favor of a more straightforward Want to See tally (kind of like the “likes” you see on social media). We also removed the function that allowed users to write comments about a movie prior to seeing it. You can read about these changes here.
What’s next? Today, we’re excited to introduce new features to our Audience Score and user reviews with the addition of Verified Ratings and Reviews.

So, let’s get to it.

Rotten Tomatoes now features an Audience Score made up of ratings from users we’ve confirmed bought tickets to the movie – we’re calling them “Verified Ratings.” We’re also tagging written reviews from users we can confirm purchased tickets to a movie as “Verified” reviews.
I personally like the changes but don't like the fact that older films which you probably didn't see in theaters or purchased a ticket for will lose an honest or even dishonest review. It might also mean that the count of reviewers won't be as large which might have been indicative (in more innocent times) of a level of popularity or even notoriety?

Did Captain Marvel or Brie Larsen really benefit from the changes? The number of Youtubers who made money disparaging her and the movie did and are still around but at the moment seem to be on hiatus until CM 2.0 appears and by then they will see new dollar signs based on some new faux outrage.
