CM won't get a 2nd Endgame Bump nor SFFH Bump?

Avengers Endgame is creating it's own bump by re-releasing and probably giving Spider-Man Far From Home more Opening Weekend buzz. But Captain Marvel which is fading much quicker than expected, given it's large opening weekend, probably won't see much of this new momentum.

It is of course already out on Home Media and streaming but the crowded MCU marketplace was going to not see rewards for some film. Just as Toy Story could be a bit cannibalized by Spider-Man FFH. Shazam! meanwhile is still perking along. Nothing major but WB is going to milk that Shazam! Box Office for every dollar they can get.🤣

Who didn't expect this nothing movie to fade quickly?

From my POV it was just the opposite. I expected the move to have a larger impact immediately on A:E but I think it was around just $5 Million? But that "Bump" of $5 Million has rippled positively since and has been pretty steady such that A:E appears to be able to now get even closer to Avatar to the tune of needing ~ a bit less than $8 Million.

So it appears that it hasn't quite faded and I didn't see that coming.

cm has been out for 4 months. it got a decent boost when endgame came out. i don't think it's too realistic to expect that to repeat with ffh. there simply isn't that much money left on the table for it.

I agree that there was nothing to tie CM to SM:FFH but the fact that all three were in theaters simultaneously was something that could have been exploited was the only idea that came to mind. Not saying that it was a guarantee that sales would have been boosted for CM but there was no attempt to even "exploit" the happening.
