Too much forced 90s elements

mostly in the music, I assume it wants to target 90s kids with nolstalgia.

90's kids are in their 30's already, these movies are targeted at kids. What it's doing is selling 90's culture to Gen-z. 90's culture has been for sale for a while now.

The movie is set in the 90's how exactly is it "Forced".

For me few of the songs/tracks resonated with me so I was rather neutral to the music and it wouldn't be a soundtrack that I would be interested in. I had that same disconnect with Captain America:The Winter Soldier with their Marvin Gaye Troubleman selection by Mackie/Wilson.

I wish the producers would have picked a more direct song but a more obscure niche artist, Gil-Scott Heron, Winter In America. same period song, stronger MUCH stronger vibe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2zKdIcOV5s&list=RDm2zKdIcOV5s&start_radio=1

By the way it is a progressive protest song.

well they put 90's songs where ever they want the 90's music doesn't fit in the scenes like the music fits in Thor Ragnarok Led Zeppelin's immigrant song or The way the music fits in Guardians of the Galaxy and when she does what would be the cool parts instead of a fitting 90's song they put Generic Marvel Superhero music
