I just watched it (spoilers)

It was pretty boring, imo.

Things I disliked:

• Tons of 90s music to hammer you over the head that the film is set in the 90s.

• Dull plot ... hey, some guys are after the Tesseract again!

• Tons of exposition.

• The Skrulls are good guys. The Krees are, to the surprise of nobody, bad guys.

• Nick Fury as a purely comedic character who spends most of his screen time slobbering over a cat.

• Carol regains full use of her powers from the Supreme Intelligence and has instant mastery over them, flying away and pushing rockets around.

• Weak villains ... Carol, who has vast superpowers, just fights her old Kree team of low-level no-names. Jude Law, the leader, is some extremely minor comic book character who gets slapped away by Carol in the final non-fight.

• We finally find out how Nick Fury loses his eye ... an infected scratch from an alien cat in the last five minutes that is played off as a joke.

Things I liked:

• The Easter Egg stuff, like Monica Rambeau (as a child) and Jude Law’s character using (I assume) a variation of the cosmic wristbands.

• Ben Mendelsohn using a full-blown Aussie accent as the leader of the Skrull refugees.

• Bree Larson looked good in a NIN t-shirt and jeans.

HA! I figured this movie would turn out to be nothing but a dull flop, LOL!

reply

You mean you wanted this movie to be a dull flop because Marvel dominates the DCEU and you are jealous ? its not even released yet , why are DCEU fans so insecure ?

CM is going to beat Wonder Woman in every way.....

Epic fail....

Boy I bet DC's wishes they could have some DULL FLOPS like Marvel Studios....

lol the best DC can do with the Ultimate A List female hero is 103 M...

Marvel Studios comes along with a C list female superhero and STOMPS WW out with a 140 to 160 M OW.....

sign DC up for some of those 140 to 160 M DULL FLOPS

just an unimaginable FAIL here

Fake review based on trailer and trolls!

Kind of figured this would be his reponse, considering he already decided weeks ago , see comment

I found Doctor Strange, Ant-Man 1+2, and Black Panther really dull and formulaic.

Captain Marvel looks to follow that trend. It just isn’t capturing my imagination.

It feels like Marvel has cemented it’s money-making formula and can’t be bothered experimenting or pushing the boundaries of its fictional universe.

I have no real investment in these new characters.

reply

It’s a fake review because ... it makes you sad?

Ask me literally anything about it, oh teary one.

reply

It's a fake review because it's bullshit

Do they use the song closing time?

I liked that one.

Closing time
Time for us to da da da da da

reply

No, they used “What a Man” by Salt n Pepa, “I’m just a Girl” by No Doubt, some Nirvana and a lot of other cliche ‘90s songs.

reply

"Bree Larson looked good in a NIN t-shirt and jeans."

Dayumm.... Right there, Im seeing it. A woman after my own heart?

Oh Captain, my Captain... what a marvel.

reply

Pathetic Troll changes his OP completely. It's straight from my spoiler thread now!

BrunoAntony, here's a question for you: Does Brie Larson's character CRACK A SMILE EVEN JUST ONCE? Because, judging by all the stills I've seen of her, she's a miserably serious bitch.

reply

Yes, she smiles a lot and makes jokes.

You need to get over your issues with women or whatever.

reply

Why do you think I have issues with women?

reply

Progressives define any sort of criticism, or trying to hold women accountable, as misogyny and you're a virgin incel or someshit.

reply

You obviously hear it a lot.
