When did Hollywood standards fall so low that a mediocre actress who isn't beautiful can get these big roles? At least in past generations the mediocre acting was made-up for by being beautiful. Now increasingly we have these bad actresses who are barely doable. Although, I guess it goes along with these scrawny beta pansies that are getting cast as leading men these days.

I guess it was around the time that Melissa McCarthy started getting roles as anything other than the fat friend.

Brie Larson was never considered the hottest woman in Hollywood, but definitely higher than a Hollywood 6 more like an 8.

If all these idiots who are hating on her like she pissed in their cornflakes saw her in real life... they'd BEG her to piss in their cornflakes.

It all comes down to personal taste. I personally never cared for Cameron Diaz's look but she always got work in major roles. The same for Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence. And don't get me started on Uma Thurman. It doesn't matter because its just fiction. But now a woman in a Marvel superhero movie must absolutely cross some superficial bar for beauty? We don't get female superhero movies very often. And now we're getting one with a relatively young oscar winner.

So, I wasn't really aware of who Brie Larson was and decided to do some research: -
First I looked at Google Images.
Then I searched for any nude scenes that she had done (as you do).
Finally, I checked out the Fake Nude sites, but by this time I'd totally forgotten why I was doing this.
