shareThe odd thing is for those that have been complaining, complaining, whining and complaining about Brie and the trailers is that after each trailer there is this movement of the complaint bar as if each trailer was a response to their incessant negativism and rants.
The content for each of the trailers comes from the already existing film. Marvel isn't shooting anything new because of some negative feedback. Each trailer has been progressively exposing Carol's and Brie's personality but refraining from giving anything away as to the plot and or story for the film.
My concern is that this film seems to be stuffed with an almost impossible amount of print canon Marvel lore and characters that is part of Cosmic World building for whatever the next Phases are as well as a springboard into Endgame.
I just think that Carol Danvers as a character will be overshadowed by story and narrative.

And it goes without saying that this crowd is fiercely unwilling to give Captain Marvel and Brie a fair chance anyway. This includes those MCU fans pretending to be worried over the quality of the film but in reality are bothered by Marvel not keeping things backwards like they wish (yes, fans unconcerned with any agendas but remain unenthusiastic about the film exist). Brie could end up receiving tons of acclaim for her performance and get called the film’s highlight, and yet the ranting manbabies will come up with a bunch of ad nauseam reasons as to why she’s being praised—think Black Panther.And as if on queue the posts on this board reflect exactly what you pointed out. The detractors are quite persistent and determined. It is almost as if they are, "Woke"!
But if Carol gets overshadowed in the end or not, I am hoping the movie flies high (pun intended). By no means will this shut the trolls and chuds up, however seeing as how the majority of them are convinced Captain Marvel is going to be the MCU’s first true disappointment both critically and financially, it would be so satisfying for me if/when they get proven wrong.
