This is Going To Flop

Captain Marvel has always been a SJW Superhero in The Comics Now They gonna make a SJW Superhero Movie Ugh

reply

Please define "flop"

reply

A Bad Movie With Bad Writing Bad Script

reply

That never stopped DCEU films making money!

reply

Justice league was a financial flop.

reply

Finally! A bad film flopped, even if it was part of a "pre-sold" franchise!

Although I don't think "Captain Marvel" will be a flop. It's positioned as part of the money-spinning "Infinity War" story, and it's a Marvel film. Fun action films will never go out of style, and Marvel has a track record of consistently delivering fun action films, which people are still paying to see.

reply

So, if it makes $1B worldwide you’ll still consider it a “flop” if you think the writing/script is bad?

reply

A lot of the anti-MCU fanboys will find any excuse to call MCU movies flop. Infinity War was apparently a flop despite being one of the highest grossing movies of all time. I get it that some people don't like the MCU movies. I'm fine with that. It's pathetic when they start trolling all the message boards, though.

Checking the fabulous 1950’s archives now...

Delusional Reich-wingers back then: Commies, commies, commies, back of the bus, in god we trust, science is a lie, get the Hollywood commies out, commies...

Now on to the 2010’s...

Delusional modern day Reich-wingers: SJWs, Political correctness, feminazis, u snowflakes, we poor white straight Christian males, let’s insult these SJWs for demanding equal rights and having the audacity to present themselves in a positive light, in drumpf we trust, facts are lies, SJWs, SJWS, commies, they took ‘r’ jobs, derka derka derk!!!

Anyway, um, I just have this to say. That’s right, sucka! Keep crying about the mighty communist SJWs! Go on, bitch like you do best. We laugh at your kind which continues to wither away and die!

Bow down to the new world order, biatch!
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

reply

You have no insight into how deranged you sound.

reply

That was mean-spirited but funny!!!!!

reply

Gracias. :)

At this point, I’m all about having fun with the “thick-skinned” anti-SJW/anti-PC crowd you see on these boards on a daily basis. At the same time, I will get ‘em where it triggers them. XD

No point in trying to be fair or civil with them.

reply

Funny but the "back of the bus" crowd back then was the Left. Not being partisan nor taking a side. Just correcting your rant so it will be less open to dismissal next time.

reply

I think it will do very well.

reply

I hate to say this but I'm inclined to agree.

Larson is (for the most part) and unknown actress to a lot of viewers. She's made some Indy films, some minor dramas but the first time most saw her on the screen was Kong: Skull Island. Being relatively unknown doesn't necessarily hurt, except that Larson has been making some very cringe-worthy posts online lately, casting herself as a bitchy feminist. Not a smart move. Most MCU fans don't care for politics or religion in their movies and Marvel Studios has done a smart job by staying away from these divisive topics. My hope is that Brie Larson has "grow up" a bit and that Kevin Fiege talked her down from the ledge, reminding her that she's representing the MCU and not Brie Larson. Guess we will see what they do with Captain Marvel. In truth, I know a lot of comic book people and none of them are enthusiastic about the character.

Paul Rudd took a C-Lister like Ant-Man and made him beloved by fans of the MCU. From what I've seen in interviews, Larson lacks the fun personality of Rudd, nor do I think she has much screen charisma. And I freely admit this post is biased. I've not seen Larson in many appearances where I found her likable.

Will I still see Captain Marvel? You bet I will but I'll also be brutally honest if it's a dud. The movie will literally be carried by Larson. It's her job to make it shine. If it flops, I put that on her.

reply

I can assure you this film ill not be a flop , the hype after IW is there

reply

Just the pics released today (or last night) alone are indications that Marvel knows what it is doing.

reply

Those pictures look awesome. I still don’t see how this flops at all.

reply

They look Awesome??? In every picture. Bree Larson looks either annoyed or gassy. I think the movie will make money. But with an Actress who has a charisma of cardboard. i don't see this movie making Black Panther money or Infinity War money. Maybe Antman money. The fact they are hinging Avenger 4 on a untested actress when when comes to blockbuster. Just shows how much they didn't think this through. They should have got Emma Stone.

reply

Brie is playing a super hero not a Disney princess. She’s suppose to look tough. I agree it probably won’t make Black Panther money but probably more than Ant Man for sure.

reply

I don't know much about this film's story, but wasn't it meant to be an origin story - and not tied to IW.

reply

All indications are and were that it was never intended to be an origin story. Marvel has at least for the present stopped doing formal origin stories. Spider-Man Home-Coming, Black Panther and now Captain Marvel are not going to get an origin and you're just going to have to keep up!

reply

OK so not an origin but it will occur BEFORE IW in the timeline?

reply

A lot earlier.

Years earlier.

When Nick Fury had two eyes and Mo' Hair earlier!

1990's!

reply

Nice!

reply

Translation: I just want attention so I'm going to write "SJW" a few times...

reply

... and are you triggered by that or something?

reply

Triggggggered

reply

lol

reply

I think this will might make Ant-Man money. But not Black Panther money.

reply

I think it's time for you to learn proper grammar and stop inbreeding
