I thought I would hate it but it is an alright animated version of the original. Some things bothered me like the elves looking sort of evil, but even though it was a little different from the original it was still decent. Still wish they got someone different for Buddy though

I wouldn't have a problem with Jim Parsons casting (he's a terrific comedian; I don't get the bashing of him on this board given he is a far superior actor to Will Ferrell) only that I don't like his singing but then the songs were not good. Not a terrible Christmas special but "Meh" pretty much sums it up.
shareWill Ferrell was perfect for the part in my opinion. I don't know about Parsons being a superior actor because he's acted exactly the same in everything I've seen him in. I know Will Ferrell isn't amazing but at least he can change things up.
