I enjoy this sub-genre and was entertained!

I thought they missed some great opportunities for more misery. It lacked raw desperation needed from the girls, and the revenge comes far too quickly and mercifully for the antagonists. There were too many characters so they didn't have enough backstory with the 75mins they churned out.

The scene where the girls are drugged and run outside and are caught, that was a really beautiful shot. When we reach the forest and their new surroundings, I was surprised, it was something newish and I really wanted to see it become more of a survival pic with the nice location (my hometown area). But it was wasted, except for piggie, who was scary! And they made the masking of the girls and the anticipation more terrifying, except they end up taking off the hoods 10 seconds later - that could have gone on longer.

They had lots of opportunity to be creative with the deaths with so many characters to hunt down, but many were rushed as I mentioned. The lead characters are likeable; the uncle is unnecessary, but comes in as a welcome bit of comic relief later on. Overall I liked it and wanted it to be a half-hour longer. 6/10

I get what you're saying and mostly agree, but I was glad they didn't waste a lot of time getting to the meat of the movie. There's something to be said for a film that understands brevity. I'd rather have a shorter entertaining movie than a longer one with padding.

I enjoyed the movie but thought that the length was just fine, otherwise the revenge killing may have gotten to the redundant stage. Always best to leave the audience wanting more than feel like it overstayed it's welcome.
