I'm sorry, no

I find it hard to believe that, as long as she had known Dave, she never noticed how cute he was. It would be a little more believable if he was one of those geeky, but secretly adorable guys, but this guy was flat out gorgeous.

Not to mention smart, sweet, supportive, kind and generous. He deserved to be rid of her.

I agree. He was also mature and acted his age whereas she was superficial and acted like a teenager. He definitely deserved better. It also didn't seem to make much sense that he would allow himself to stay in the friend zone for so long. I would think that someone like him would let his feelings be known much sooner then move on if rejected.

After he tells her how he feels at the elevator it seems not to have any effect on her. She just stares at him although it's obvious he's hurt. He's her life long best friend and she shows no emotion? Even after she finds his gift and note, she still packs her bag and plans to fly off to Boston with Reed for the weekend; a guy she hardly knows whom she met only 3 days previously. She stills opts to spend a weekend with Reed over following up with her life long friend to see if he's okay and discuss what he said? At the airport with Reed, she's happy and all smiles but then out of nowhere she changes her mind? It just didn't make much sense. It's terrible script writing or she's a terrible person.
