SPOILER: the remote control technology

SPOILER:
(Also this observation is for grown-ups)

Have you ever heard the old saying, "You learn something new everyday"? I can attest to that today.
After reading the movie description on Wiki, I had to do some Internet search to learn that the remote control technology that Ryan uses on Michelle actually exists and it's been around for a few years now! I feel like I was born last night. How is it that I never knew about this?

There was something like it back in the late 1980s in a series of Italian, adult comedy spoof movies, all called, "Click". In those movies a young guy invented a remote control little box with an antenna. When he pointed the antenna at an unknowing young woman and flicked a switch, he could induce feminine arousal in the target. I want to refrain from being too explicit just in case underage people read this post.

Well, that magic box from the 'Click' movies never existed in real life. But there is a much more intimate technological development that can be purchased on line. From what I've read about it on user reviews, some wives and girlfriends actually love the prospect of their man remotely controlling their feminine pleasure center from several yards/meters away at nightclubs, bars, restaurants, parties, etc. I didn't read anything about it being used at places of employment.

Go to YouTube and there's a 2009 movie, "The Ugly Truth", starring Kathryn Heigl and the Scottish guy, Gerard Butler, who's the Spartan king in the movie, '300'. It's a romantic comedy satire. Heigl uses the technology at a restaurant dinner with several clients. Her boyfriend, Gerard Butler is with her. Comedy ensues when the remote control falls out of her coach handbag purse and a little boy picks it up. Puzzled, he fiddles with the operating button at a nearby table, activating the device on Heigl as she tries to explain the benefits of ceviche, whatever that is. The clients are puzzled, baffled, and a little shocked by her aroused behavior but at the end decide that Heigl was extremely passionate about her sales pitch. That was the year 2009 and the remote control device was an impossibly awkward 8-inch tube, 1-inch wide being held by the little boy. Today's remote control for those intimate feminine devices are the size of a car keychain. The actual gadget is larger than the remote. I was surprised to see samples for sale on the Internet. I'm sure it could be designed smaller.

On YouTube, there's a video posted by two female friends who made a bet. The loser had to wear the device and her girl friend got to operate the remote. In the funny video, the losing girl friend has to walk around Manhattan during a wet, wintry day and stop to talk to strangers. The winning girl friend then pushes the on button on the remote hidden in her pocket. It's hilarious to see the losing girl friend double forward and start laughing when the remote button is pushed. The men that the losing girl friend approaches are puzzled and baffled by her actions. Some ask her if she is okay. It' a hoot to watch.
