Best Documentary On An Actor I Have Seen

It is the first film in 6 years that I have given a 10/10 rating. It has everything on Brando you would want to know and more. And it is Brando himself narrating it,from hundreds of hours of tapes that he made. We also see film clips from all the great films he made, plus news footage and older interviews he did. One of the more fascinating ones is when he is talking to attractive female interviewers (I think it was around the time of Mutiny On The Bounty)and he is more interested in flirting with them than giving answers to their questions. He also admits in his narration that he hated filming Bounty and got into fistfights during it, and it made him disillusioned with acting and film making.

I wasn't entirely sold on the framing of Marlon's story and I think his later life and films could have been touched on, e.g., The Freshman and The Score, but it's an excellent documentary. 9/10 from me.

NOW TARZAN MAKE WAR!

Well the film wasn't about his movies, was it? They were only really touching on specific films to feed into the larger picture of him that was being painted. After you see Apocalypse Now/Superman/The Formula, there isn't all that much new to learn about the guy from his on screen work.

Yes, fantastic...also check out "My Best Fiend," the documentary Herzog did on Klaus Kinski (a rival for Brando).
