Are the two gay lovers ever going to get it together?

I am getting bored waiting, to be honest 😖

They haven't even managed to go on a date yet, let alone have passionate sex.

and the pair currently have all the sexual chemistry of a pair of dead frogs in a bucket.

Possibly they will get more passionate in the future, but it had better come sooner rather than later

They're going to get there soon.

But I agree. I'm not sure why the show can't have them eating each other's faces the way straight couples do regularly. Last season, Clary and Jace were allowed to have fun sexual tension (like that episode at the police precinct) before they had a big kiss, and they kissed pretty much every episode after that multiple times until they were told they were siblings.

For some reason, with these two, it's like they're going out of their way to keep them sex-less. Part of it I blame on Matt Daddario's terrible acting - he had Magnus standing in front of him half-naked and he may as well have been looking at paint dry on a wall (last season when Magnus saw him half-naked, he was shown to be obviously thirsty and attracted). They just need to do a far better job of showing that these two WANT each other.

I also blame the writing that makes it necessary for them to have all this unnecessary heavy angst before we've even gotten a decent emotional and physical connection between them. At this point, I can see that Magnus is falling for Alec but I have no idea WHY or what he sees in Alec beyond a nice face. Alec doesn't seem like he's falling at all since two episodes ago he was treating Magnus like a servant, and the other two he's been thirsting away for Jace.

It's sad because they do have some really lovely moments, I like how nervous Alec sometimes gets around Magnus. And that one kiss last season was very believable. But I really need them to sell this relationship from both sides far better. And it'd be nice if Alec stopped pining for his brother.

It takes quite a while in the books...as far as the timetable..Alec has just realized he is gay...that in itself takes a awhile...plus he is a Shadowhunter..lots of life and death stuff...that takes first place for now...they have some real problems to overcome all the way through 6 books.

"as far as the timetable..Alec has just realized he is gay." - Really? But we've seen these flashbacks back when they were teenagers and Alec confesses he loves his "brother". So surely he must realise he's gay in the adult guise.

I mean you become aware of your sexuality in your teens not your 20s

It's his first relationship, and one very looked down upon by the Clave and Shadowhunter society for two reasons - with a warlock, a Downworlder whom most view as inferior, and Alec would not mate to pass down Shadowhunter blood, and as we know, their numbers are dwindling. They don't officially become a couple until the end of book 3. Scenes you describe don't happen until book 4/5. The story doesn't revolve around them. More Clary and Jace, as the new showrunners and writers showed this week - their first episode.

On the way, I saw five hours of sleep - but your fire makes it all worth while.

Read a preview for the episode in two weeks, called The Iron Sisters...mentioned Alec and Malec go on a date.

Producers have stated that season 1 has rushed Malek too much so now they're slowing it down.
