(Be)Coming Clean discussion - spring finale - obviously *SPOILERS*

Someone mentioned on another thread that there was no discussion about this weeks episode.

So here we go!

1-The stuff with Cynthia, Craig and her fiance is crazy and I can't believe the things the fiance said to her... It was nice to see more of her background. I can't believe she has a son!!! That was a jaw dropper! I hope her and Charlotte can be real friends now, and support each other and help Maddie better.

2-I think the whole reality show for Trish is going to push her overboard. She really needed to stay in the house, especially after just being convinced to stay. Laurel's talk to her about them still supporting her was sweet.

3-I'm glad they showed Ellie hesitating taking a drag at that party, or wherever the heck they were. I hope they continue to show her making better choices...

4-That drama with Nyla and Maddie's car and what may or may not have happened that night is sad. I'm glad Maddie opened up to Wes about it.

5-Rebecca leaving was really sad. Just when her and Maddie were putting the past behind them. Man, her mom was scary and I though Craig was going to *beep* himself. But then when they showed her crying in her car...

6-Wes - I feel so bad for him. Harper and Asa set him up so bad... I'm very curious to know if any of the three stories they told Wes was true... Was the pharmacist shot? Or they just waived the gun around? Or was Diesel telling the truth that he was working with the pharmacist?

7-Maddie - She really did have a *beep* day - the Nyly stuff, finding out her mom set her up, finding a drunk Cynthia, losing Rebecca... the way she talked in front of everyone at the house was the best part.

I was rather surprised that Cynthia has a son and John D Leo is the one that played Ethan. I am glad that Maddie and Wes got together but I can imagine an intense next season since I hope it is revealed how killed Wes brother Diesel. I think Trish is going to suffer a relapse.

Paul firing Cynthia was crazy. I get he was upset but there should be a line between what's business and personal. Especially since he was praising her a few episodes ago for the very thing he fired her for. But I say good riddance. At least she found out who he is now. People like that will remember everything they can and then use it against you the second something goes wrong. And then at the end of the episode he's regretting it.

As for Ellie and the other girl I wish Maddie would check her friends. They treat her like she has a problem (and yes she does) and they're there to support her but they need to be right there with her.

And Cynthia having a son.... I was soooo shocked.

So Rebecca's in that cult now, isn't she? The one that was mentioned when Trish was looking for her mom and called the police? A group for addicts that involves rules about how you share and what you wear and the waving your hands and whatever else they were doing seems suspicious

Is it the same one? When the detective was talking to Craig about it, it sounded like it was out of state. And since Trish thought her mom had her daughter, I don't think she would take the little girl to a cult of addicts. So I think it's completely different.

But as soon as her friend said you have to dress a certain way, I figured it was either a church... But cult could be what it is... That will take an interesting turn...

Right?! At the grad party, didn't it sound like he was proud of Cynthia for helping Maddie? At least that's how it came across... And then he just turned around and exploded. I wasn't surprised he didn't send that text (his regret), but I wish Craig had sent his! But I totally get that he didn't want to start their relationship being the one that ended her engagement. I also hope Cynthia's friendship with Vern recovers... :(

Totally agree!

I think Trish leaving for the reality show may open her up to the fate the character had in the book (for anyone who's read it- Trish dies). Despite not following nearly ANYTHING in the book, that may be the one thing that they do follow up with.

This whole relapse/Craig/fiance situation made me dislike Cynthia a little bit, or at least see her as a bit hypocritical. Not in the sense that she relapsed, because that happens and she's only human, it's part of the recovery process. But seeing how she just up and left her responsibilities and was basically in the same cycle again put me off in a way. I think she gave Maddie a lot of flack for her denial and pushing aside her emotions, but now it comes out that she was basically just putting off a whole bunch of way bigger things.

But I HATE Craig. He's spineless and honestly completely unqualified for what he does- he's clearly in way over his head and is completely awful at dealing with these situations. I don't feel bad for him at all. It goes back to the earlier episode when they found out Trish's daughter was fake- like they would've just took her word for it when she was admitted to the facility without doing any actual research into the kid or where it was?? Despite the fact that she was essentially in a meth-fueled psychosis. Are there even any actually trained professionals at this place besides just sponsors and counselors?

The Wes situation just sucks, there's no other way I can describe it lol. But I will say that as much as I like Wes, he's an idiot. In a way I don't blame him because it's hard to imagine being betrayed by family especially when it was basically just him and his brother for so long, but he essentially played right into it and set himself up for it.
