Acting!
I give the "actors" a lot of credit for taking this whole movie seriously. Must have been hell to keep a straight face while acting terrified of this little Chucky wannabe. How did this movie get as far as actual theaters anyway?
I am not sure that it did; I could be wrong, but low-budget indie films like this usually don't get theatre releases.
