The undercover policing was downright criminal.

Anna Farris and her team of under cover sleuths set up a drug run where thousands of dollars of drugs (10K) were moved and had about six witnesses that could have received six months and testified (or at this level NOTHING to make a case stronger against one) and then Method Man could have been on lockdown for decades... that's why drugs are illegal. Because the guy was dangerous so now that it is material to control it because of questions we don't need answered to give him the time for what he did, sell drugs.

Anna Farris was buying such a vast amount of drugs, moving $10 grand, that right there the case could have been over with.

But sexy undercover cop could look better at work if she got him on something bigger. So it was already over and done with but she made him paranoid behind the scenes (most likely scenario) and induced murders and then after coercing multiple serious felonies, now people go to jail... So paranoid that the guy got into a shoot out with guys with semi automatic weapons, fearing his own life, but it's clear that if Method Man was within appropriate mental boundaries those guys would not have committed multiple murders with those weapons.

But MM who is a drug dealer was even kidnapping people to hand over to these Latino Mafioso... and the cases weren't even that strong.... now he could have outright been framing people to that degree, but even with kidnapping charges, why not arrest him? It's like she waited for actual multiple murders to be committed, and to let the situation get so out of hand with so many blatantly obvious felonies readily apparent that the most likely scenario is she probably drove MM nuts trying to get him to kill somebody or somebodies so she could make a big arrest... but her job should have been preventing crime....

But some people are probably so messed up at her job she's glad she's just not literally framing people, and such a low standard is driving everything down.

Moving that much drugs is enough to get jail time like that and they should not have been investigating any further.

Messed up system here.

I prefer Ludlow from Street Kings criminal policing... if you're going to be a menace and go on a rampage at least do it in a way that the pile of bodies deters crime.... given the nature of the movie the most likely scenario is that the cops didn't just take it too far before making an arrest... they were probably playing mind games with the dude until he went WAYYY overboard (already kidnapping peeps trying to hand them over to these Latino Mafiosos investigating a certain bounty).... She set up a murder scene with no end to it.

A real Keanu Reeves movie, he would have been bigger than that in an eternal sense.

But this is a great way to make a statement without ruining the movie or getting so preachy I can't even enjoy it.
