Airing in English speaking countries?
Does anyone know if this has been picked up anywhere that English subtitles would be used? Sounds like a lot of fun and considering the rise in popularity of foreign TV programs... Let's hope!

shareI know that a number of countries bought the rights to the show-which probably means they will remake it for their own channels.
Probably the best hope is that a British TV channel Sky/BBC buys it and airs it with English subtitles. Usually that's the only way that Netflix or Dramafever will obtain it.
Just as an aside, it may be a bit too Spanish for the English market. It deals mostly with Spanish history(not as well known outside Spain) and much of the humor is derived from Spanish pop culture. But it is a pretty good show and I know a few Doctor Who fans who would be interested in it.
You got it on Netflix.
shareNot in the US.
shareSorry to hear that. Last time I checked it was September last year. I guess they have removed it later.
shareNot sure exactly when, but it will be made available in the coming months in 190 countries.
I assume the US will be one of them.
Thanks! I've just read Netflix has picked it up and after season 3 airs in Spain will roll out all three seasons. Meanwhile it is available with English subtitles streaming...
shareThis actually begs for both options, airing the original spanish series, as an insight into Spanish culture and history, and also developing alternate versions of the Time Ministry for UK, France, Germany, Italy and so on. I guess it'll be more limited in the US, as the pre-colonial time is quite unknown all together, while the range in Spain is by a whole millenium and they just don't use the roman times, as they would be forced to write and talk in latin. But, while not perfect, one of the most interesting tv series airing worldwide, right now, completely unpredictable and multilayered, and playful.

It's fantastic. I wish it was around with subtitles so I could show it to my friends. The better version of Warehouse 13.
So true. Last night's episode with Napoleon was my favorite, so much humor. I would have thought Sky Arts would have bought this like they bought Isabel. I know fans of Doctor Who would love this even with not getting all the Spanish references.
Of course, here in America there will be a "high octane" rip-off with a trio made up of a brainy woman and soldier. Sound familiar.
