In the United States, you get your bachelors degree, which takes 4 years if you complete the coursework on time, in your intended field of teaching (Elementary Education, English Education, Math Education, etc.). The last semester of your time at university you student teach (go into a public classroom and teach). Sometime during your last semester you also take a required state test which you must pass to get your degree. That's it. So you can have your degree in education in four years. This is for PreK-12. You can teach the remediate (lower level) core classes in community college with just a bachelors degree. To teach upper level courses in community colleges and university's you need your masters or doctorates degree, which take an additional 2-4 years after your bachelors degree.
I started college when I was 18. I graduated when I was 22 and started teaching high school English at the age of 22. My best friend started college at 17 (due to when her birthday fell) and graduated college when she was 21. She started teaching high school EC classes at 21. It's possible.
