Is this based on a book ?

I feel like I read a book (or a series) where all characters over about 21 mysteriously died. I don't remember much other than some factions starting and those approaching X age freaking out.

Does anyone know the name of this book and whether or not this show was based on it ?

I remember a movie similar except it was the entire planet and it was everyone 26+ plus dead.

This show reminds me of the Gone series by Michael Grant. Obviously there are a lot of differences, but it's a similar premise.

My thoughts exactly. Definitely some differences, but then some glaring similarities.

Crying helps me slow down and obsess over the weight of life's problems.

There was a book series like this called Quarantine. The cliques in a high school all sort of branched off into different factions and the first book was about a rallying of those without a clique (the Loners). If that's the same series you were talking about, it's what I thought when viewing the show as well.

We have watched The 100 since the beginning, and just finished binge watching Containment (and I have been slowly watching Colony), and binge watching Between this weekend felt like it had pieces of each.
