Best rapper of all time???

I don't know but one thing I will always believe, Rakim best delivery/flow of all time. I'm 44. Still love hip hop. Always will. I just don't get the whole Kendrick Lamar savior thing. I'd take Joey badass or Earl sweatshirt over Kendrick any day. Then I'd take childish gambino over both Joey and earl. Lol

KRS, G Rap, Ra, Scarface.. Either one of those is fine with me

I like Kendrick but him along with all of those other rappers you mentioned lack the proper vocal tonality, rap off key, and they don't rhyme in the pocket accurately bar to bar.

"Money's flowing, everything is fine; Got myself an Uzi and my brother a nine"

Who are the 5 best rappers of all time?

That's hard to say. Are we basing it on lyrical content? Longevity? Flow? Technique? Wordplay?

Very few MCs have all of that.

Maybe I should have said favorite rappers of all time. Just loved the documentary and looking to have a convo. For me it would have to start with Rakim. Then everyone else 2nd. Biggie, q tip, guru, Eminem and common.

I'd add Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D, Black Thought, R.A. The Rugged Man, Brother Ali, Apathy.

Wtf. I forgot about Nas. That was a horrible slip. My bad. Lol.

"Best" is subjective but I think Talib Kweli needs to be in the conversation.

To me, 2Pac prevails as the God of hip hop and always will. Nobody will ever take his place as the GOAT for me. Biggie, Big L, Rakim, Nas, and Raekwon are also among my favourites. Havoc and Prodigy (Mobb Deep) are also among my favourites but solely due to The Infamous, I am not fond of much else of their work.

Say what you will but Eminem is up there. Rakim, Tupac, Nas, and Doom also gotta be in my top five though.

Probably too subjective a thing, and I'm certainly no historian, but I always liked Nas best. Illmatic still blows my mind way, way more than something like To Pimp a Butterfly. Andre 3000 is amazingly dexterous with word-play and his flow is so smooth too; I would love for him to make a solo hip-hop album.
