Why do they not get to speak or why are they not part of the band as back up singers or crew?, what do they do in class when the band goes on missions?

I like this show and while it is not great, I think it works, the cast is good and Breanna has perfect comedy timing and seems to act beyond her years, she is a born natural.

They're extras. Extras in the TV/movie business don't get any lines. I'm sure they're probably locked in as extras in their contracts too which means they'll probably never get any lines on the show, ever, unless the whole class is speaking in unison.

I know that they are extras but it's not like they are just walking past in the hallways, they are a part of the small class and essentially look like wallpaper.

I totally agree with you, but extras don't have speaking parts. It's one of the downsides to the TV business. But you're right. It makes no sense to the plot that they have no role at all.

Again I totally agree. I loved her physical comedy in the With or Without You episode when she is filling in Summer on the plot to Wormhole of Justice.
