Odd thing about Jon

The guy is shown as such determined type who is absolutely obsessed to procreate and doesn't seem very sympathetic to people besides that urge. That type of mentality (sorry about the armchair psychology but lets call it narcissistic) would normally imply he had some great desire to have his own kid as some form of legacy, immortality obsession etc.


It's a bit odd to me that he instead is just fine raising any kid cause he just loves kids, even though the revenge motivation would be a solid one for his type. I still think it's weird that he dumped his first wife over not being able to have kids but has stuck with KAte for 7 years and through her accident caused by drinking. Wouldn't he just at least find a surrogate female?
