'Breastfeeding' in the garden
I really did like this film. An effective dark psychological suspense story in my opinion. I was wondering if anyone else questioned this detail:
When Kate gives Theresa the baby to look after so she can spy on her... she's looking down from the window at her in the garden...first Theresa takes the photos of the baby. And then ... she unstraps one of the straps of her top and puts the baby's mouth to her breast as if she is breastfeeding.
Later when Kate is accusing her... she doesn't mention that at all. The first thing she says is that Theresa took the photos and doesn't mention that she put the baby's mouth to her breast? I understand that when the photos are revealed to have been taken for a gift for her, she looses all credibility and is forced to leave. But why not mention the faux breastfeeding first? Is she doubting herself that she really saw it?
I looked at the scene again to make sure I wasn't mistaken. She definitely did unstrap her top and put the baby to her breast. Wouldn't this be the first thing to mention?
