On crackle now!!

Currently watching. One hour in. Yikes. It's really terrible and full of recycled jokes.

Watching it now - it's so bad.

Afraid I have to agree with the others. Sad. the script was weak and needed a big company like Columbia keeping things in check and better production value like the first. I really wish I could say I liked it, but it just seemed all over the map with the rehashed jokes (the fart joke went on FAR too long!) and the randomness of trying to make it loosely replicate the Wizard of Oz and then It's a Wonderful life... ?!??!
The original is a classic. The sequel was too late in coming and a weak effort that just seemed glued together. This would have been SO much better if the focus was on his current life with his kids. Having daughters was fine, but he should have had a son too that walked in his footsteps (Was this too far out of a concept? You would have thought with Sandler backing it they would have suggested rehashing a Big Daddy formula of sorts. That would have been So much better.

The sequel just didn't offer much for depth or logic. Acting was near absent. There was a remote shadow of credibility when he met up with Skynyrd, but that was about it. the fart bit, the Castaway spoof were both completely useless and wasted time and lacked any humor. I could go on.

I really wanted to like it. but there was just nothing there.

It's so so bad.
