Border patrol

So border patrol actually works with these guys who call themselves Arizona border recon? They call them and they come pick up their prisoners? How does anyone know if they aren't "apprehending" mules and keeping the drugs? That could be a really profitable endeavor. Their dressed like border patrol with all the gear so the cartel probably thinks they are actually border patrol. Also wish we had of found out what happened to the guy they took from his family to interrogate. I could be totally naive but he seemed to be telling the truth.

"Working with" would be a stretch - the Border Patrol will respond to pick up an illegals that are found across the border.

the movie really dropped the ball on explaining more on the guys in arizona. are they paid by the US government? are they even authorized to do what they are doing? if a mule doesn't follow their orders and they shoot the mule in the US, then what happens?

i agree that it was ridiculous that the movie never said what happened to the guy who was taken from his family.

All 3 comments are so grammatically perverse that I can't even understand you imbeciles. We should cut your fingers off, so that you never type again.

They are not paid by the Arizona State Goverment or the Department of Homeland Security.

They can attempt a citizens arrest on the mules and crossers if they can reasonably believe they are illegally crossing, but they would have no legal authority to shoot them if they failed to comply. If one of those guys ran off and they shot him, they would go to prison.

I don't know about the group in the movie specificly, but some of those groups have gotten in trouble before. One group even accidently opened fire on actual Border Patrol agents because they thought they were illegals trying to cross
