She’s already insanely wealthy, so avoiding a movie they would otherwise enjoy in order to hurt her economically is a little silly.

Why would it send a message? I see stuff like this all the time where people plan to not buy something as a sign of protest. Yes they never understand that the people that see the numbers only see who bought the things and not who did not buy them

If I sell Pepsi and I sell $2 million worth over a month. I tweet something that a lot of people like and a lot of people do not like. The next month I sell $1.9 million. How am going to know that I lost 100,000 dollar because someone decided NOT to buy it because my tweet. Perhaps I lost $100,000 because Coke was on sale. Perhaps I lost $100,000 because the economy went bad.

The thing is that sales fluctuate and with a film you never know how much a film should make so you can then never know how much you lost.

The first film net almost $500,000,000 and this one is coming out this year; her Cormoran Strike series is doing very well (can't find the numbers but she just announced a 4th book); "Harry Potter" series has sold over 400,000,000 copies; and she has 14,000,000 followers on Twitter. I don't think that she is worried about this as an issue AT ALL.
