Is this only 3 total episodes?

I thought it was a series, but IMDb lists it as a mini-series, and only shows 3 episodes for it.

Is the next episode the final?

Well then, I guess you're just not up-to-date if your cell phone doesn't make toast!

reply

I'd hope so because this is painfully bad.
Not quite "The Following" kind of bad, but the writing and acting are execrable.

If the opposite of Love is indifference, what's the opposite of Hate?

reply

Yeah, it's as though if they had a CW channel in the UK, this would fit in perfectly for it.

I tuned in for the 2nd episode and it didn't get better, but if this week's is indeed the final episode, I'll watch it and be happy it's over.

I went to the BBCAmerica site for this show, and under the dropdown for "Episodes" it only shows 1, 2, and 3, also.

But I went to the review on Variety.com (below), and they were a bit more forthcoming with information...it's an 8 episode season 1!

I'm not gonna stick with this juvenile poorly-written show any longer--I'm done.

The only good thing about it is the great scenery, but I could get a disc about South Pacific islands and enjoy that without the clutter of a lamely scripted show like this one is.

Eight episodes of this drivel would fry my brain to a cinder.

I'll leave it be to wherever it's going, which doesn't seem to be anywhere near interesting enough for me to care.

Just come of the back of Justified (All 6 seasons) so my standards are set fairly high now. Salem Season 2 is equally as abysmal so dumping that too.

Sometimes I find myself watching TV series in the hope that they may get better, but in these two cases there's zero probability of that happening.

At least Orphan Black seems to be carrying the flame.

reply

I agree with you about Salem, too...I watched season 1 and it was sort of entertaining, but I felt unless season 2 stepped up it's game and improved I was done with it. And it didn't, so I am.

Sorry to disappoint but this is one of 8 episode.
I managed to watch up to 5 mins into ep 3 but had to give up

reply

That's exactly where I was. And thinking that as this was the final episode I'd slog through it. Thank you for freeing me. No way I'd make through the rest. I'm out.

"Where did they all go?"
"Who's 'they?'"
"You know, 'them.'"
"Name three."

TV Guide still lists Tatau airing but my cable provider Time Warner does not have it airing the next two weeks.Did BBC America cancel it?
That's just my two cents.

reply

According to the BBC America website, there are no episodes scheduled for "the near future." I am not sure whether they have cancelled it or not. It is possible that they are waiting to air the remaining episodes later, putting more time between when they air in the UK and when they air in the US.

The BBC America press release is here: http://bit.ly/1dUJmxc

Make of it what you will.

Thanks!

Any other updates please post. So anyone know is it that the episodes have been produced through what is it eight (8) and just not airing?

I kind-of liked this show as late night weekend stuff.

I liked it when BBCA aired multiple airings of Being Human Sat night through the overnight along with the previous week's episode as well as other complimentary shows; there's only so much Star Trek - Next Gen one can take...

reply

Yes, 8 were made and BBC3 is continuing to show the series in the UK.

A dvd release for the US was announced weeks ago, and so far Amazon still has it listed for pre-order. Assuming the dvd release ever happens, that would be a way for American fans to see the series.

reply

I do not pay for the channel so I can watch an american show or marathons of Top Gear and GR! So dissapointed in the programming on this channel the last few years!

I contacted BBC America through their website and this was in their email response:

Unfortunately, TATAU did not perform as strongly as we hoped on BBC America but it continues to be available On Demand and other platforms. Please visit

http://www.bbcamerica.com/tatau/where-to-watch-tatau/

to find out how to continue watching. Thank you.

I went to the link and it seemed like only the first three episodes (those that previously aired on BBC America) were available.

This wasn't one of my favorite BBCA shows and seems like something that would run on Syfy, but I would like to find out how it all turned out. I think BBCA should air the remaining episodes on a Saturday morning or something like that.

reply

I'm getting the remaining episodes on Time Warner's On Demand feature myself, so that's good. While not a great show, it hasn't been bad so far and I want to follow it to its conclusion.

No blah, blah, blah!

Last week BBC America moved it one hour later (showed Graham Norton right after Orphan Black) so this week I was expecting the same 1 hour move- but it didn't air at all. Oh well... the lead guy is just too stupid anyways.

I wasn't watching for the story plot. I was watching for the girls.:-)
