Okay, so this is not a re-telling of the Sleeping Beauty story. This is a different story. A beautiful seeming-princess visits Thomas in his sleep, and he's sure it's his destiny to kiss her and wake her up. Then he inherits a house from an uncle he never met. It's pretty well known as the town's haunted house. Thomas's uncle left him a cryptic letter about his bloodline and the terrible curse he has burdened Thomas with. And don't get too snoopy in the basement.

Thomas arrives at the house and it seems like his uncle was really, really into mannequins. There are mannequins everywhere, in various creepy arrangements. Thomas gains his info right on schedule -- the girl whose brother disappeared in the house, the secret door that can only be opened with Thomas's blood, the book written in an ancient language, the supernatural expert, the code breaker. We've got all the pieces in place. We learn very soon that the mannequins come to life and attack you to stop you from both leaving and from penetrating further into the secret basement. And that Thomas can't be away from the house for long without getting really sick. He's cursed to stay at this house, no matter how creepy.

The code breaker is able to tell us that because Thomas's ancestor from long ago sacrificed someone to the devil, a man from Thomas's bloodline is cursed to always be in the house. And the supernatural expert tells us that Thomas and the house are plagued by the Veiled Demon.

Our little gang of heroes battle their way through possessed mannequins and face off with the Veiled Demon, and Thomas finally kisses his princess. But oops, it turns out she was the ultimate evil that the demons were trying to guard, and now she will bring Armegeddon. The End.

So, the story was not so bad, and the mannequins were creepy. The S/F were not good. The score was not good. The acting was okay. I guess the cliffhanger ending was meant to be shocking, or a twist. Or they are planning a sequel? Overall, it's worth a couple bucks for a rental.
