Are we suppose to like Ben?

Because I reallly don't. He has some idea of righteousness saving a chick he once banged.
And he is *beep* up a lot of innocent lifes in the process, disregarding all the distruction he leaves behind. He uses people and blackmail them, all for the sake of getting to one girl.

If he just wanted revenge, he would get back at the chick who burned down Elenas father's restaurant. Or he can blame himself for levaing $20000 on the table to burn. But killing people, having people arrested and children losing their parents over his quest for p*ssy...WTF Ben.

He´s an anti hero, his motives may be noble but his methods are not.

I agree with the previous poster. He is more of an anti-hero than a fully fledged goody-two-shoes protagonist. But that also gives him a little more depth, in my opinion. He can be ruthless but he is not cruel or an *beep*

That being said, I also think he is very selfish. Sacrificing an entitled life, and more importantly, a woman who loves him (who also happens to be beautiful, open minded and clearly a better person than he is) just to save his childhood crush...isn't that realistic.

I think his mission will change it seems not all goes according to plan next week.

We are in a new era of TV where you aren't necessarily supposed to identify with or 'like' protagonists. The way Ben is using his 'wife' to climb the ladder and willing to murder, blackmail, etc to get his way is of course morally corrupt. The only way for you to agree with him is to believe that everyone in the green zone deserves what they get for subjecting everyone else. But life isn't that simple.

What he did to the first family is beyond disgusting.. as one reply said he is an anti hero

There was some redemption in the final but really, he IS a monster.

I think is quite a cool spin on the major character part of a series.. somehow i still like him though and am rooting for him, but I'm equally engaged with the other character's stories, which I think is something really great about this show.

it's a good sci fi drama, hope it gets renewed.

He´s clearly a good man at his heart but his methods are less than honorable. It can be applied to many characters they are good people but in the world they live in honor is hard to come by.
