Did he beat the test because he realized it was a simulation because Laura didn't have her ring? It just seemed weird that he kept saying that.
shareIt's like he said, if he knew it meant the test wasn't valid, if he didn't know it meant he let her die. They made it intentionally ambiguous.
What Elizabeth Krauss didn't know is that if he let her die, it wasn't for the Company but because he still needed to get that promotion and save Elena.
I'd like to believe he knew it wasn't real, but the other scenario suits ruthless Ben better. He was genuinely crying over her dead body and I don't think he had time to process the ring and unopened bottle of tequila in that stressful situation. Everything happened too fast.
