I've watched Ep 9 and rewatched it and STILL can't figure out...

...what happened with the whole Chad Peterson stabbing Ben incident?!!! It showed it happening at around the 39 minute mark, but then it was as if it never happened. The next scene is Ben coming home and he and Laura drinking 30 year old tequila. What's going on? (And I'm not talking about the test that played off of the previous/real tequila drinking scene either.)

That wasn't Ben. Chad was hallucinating, and stabbed random person.

Thanks. I guess that was confirmed when Julian and his men came to arrest him and he saw Ben's face on one of the guys and charged with his knife before they opened up with their rifles. I didn't make that connection but it's the only way it could have possibly been. Apparently actually seeing Ben triggered part of his memory (as well as some psychosis) and caused the later hallucinogenic event.
