Haha, I also thought it looked awkward. I'm in favor of LGBT storylines but they should find actors who are comfortable with it so they can sell it to the audience, or a director who can help the actors to relax.

Agreed. At first I was like, oh, he's gay, cool, I didn't expect that. This was immediately undercut by the fact that the actors don't have enough chemistry to make the relationship feel real. And they're hella awkward.

True, but shouldn't there at least be some hint "I want to do you later? " This seemed more like "Its the only acting job I could get. Sorry Grandma. " Nevermind that the guy he was supposed to kiss is super sexy. I was hoping we would have a 2nd kiss by now to get a better read on the situation.

It seems like they might have realized the actors have no chemistry and fired him (wasn't that kiss the only time we saw him? Maybe I'm just forgetting). They could re-cast, I guess.

agreed. besides hes not a love interest but a live-in boyfriend. this was more of a "hello. whats for lunch" kiss.

now, the fact that he only showed up in that one scene leads me to believe this was tokenism. or would forcing him into further plotlines be tokenism? not sure anymore :)

It was clearly a setup for the blowjob rape in episode 7 so i think its safe to assume his sexuality is going to mean something in the comming episodes.

Boy that was some scene. I hadn't seen it when I read your comment and I peeked at the spoiler. It was a clear violation of Theo but he is a survivor and put on a show for his boss and goons. So happy to see a strong gay character on TV.
