Same Garbage... Different Losers !!!

New, "Do or Die", S1/Ep04, (2014), Tony and Amelia deal with rainy weather in the mountains; Thorn acquires a milking goat for his camp; Colbert sets traps for pelts; and Gabriel gets help with his hunting skills. (Reality, 60 Mins.).

 Why is it that the Episode descriptions for these canned hunt, living off the grid, cheaply produced, staged, scripted, faked, garbage sound the same ?

Same bullspit format.. just different losers... just another POS "Reality" show, that makes the killing of wildlife entertaining... NatGeo you SUCK !!!!

Thanks tioga... and they keep churning the garbage out, even though fewer and fewer people are watching.... and the 50,000 extrapolated Nielsen TV viewers aren't watching.

the killing of wildlife IS entertaining when you use them appropriately. I've seen these hippies kill squirrels, but they eat the meat and save the hide. I've seen one of them make use of animals they found dead, too. I dunno about you but I'm not going to miss a few squirrels and raccoons.

daddio -- admittedly, you have to watch these "back to nature" shows with a pound of salt, but I enjoy them. Being a life-long city kid, I wouldn't survive one day out in the bush, and I find people who can, endlessly fascinating, even within the parameters of these "reality shows"..

You have meddled with the primal forces of nature, and YOU ... WILL ... ATONE!

Right on. So many imbeciles, so many titles--all the same inane, fake crappola that nobody wants to see cluttering up these once-good channels. But they just keep bouncing along because, apparently, it's even cheaper to put this junk on than to re-air all the awesome stuff that they used to before selling out.

I like the idea of natural living, but none of these "reality show"-style programs feel real or sincere, and I'm not buying them. The people all seem so directed and phony, acting the same way (over-the-top, "look at me"...fight, fight, fight...), & the situations staged and built up into way more "dramatic" episodes than what would really be happening if the cameramen followed these folks around on a daily basis without guiding anything. The problematic shows in question don't feel like genuine documentation. They range from following people who actually do have interesting jobs or lifestyles, but gummed up with too much personal drama nonsense...to ones that appear to be all-around scripted and unreal. (It's hard to believe, for instance, that most of the "stars"/actors are ever actually in any real danger of any sort.)

And the killing of wildlife is never "entertaining"...if for someone it's actually legitimately necessary, it should of course be done with respect and gratitude, using as much of the animal as possible. But it's not about you missing "a few squirrels and raccoons" or not. Most people would not miss most other humans, either. The point is that they're individual, conscious living beings who can feel and think. They don't want to die for the worthless "entertainment" of human wretches, and none should have to.

ETA: Omgwtf. Alien-hunting and myths on American Heroes Channel?? THEY DON'T DIFFERENTIATE AT ALL ANYMORE. "PUT THE TREEHOUSES AND THE REDNECK BULLCRAP ON ANIMAL PLANET, SURE, WHY NOT? WE JUST DON'T CARE ANYMORE. LET'S QUIT EVEN TRYING. LET'S HELP TELEVISION GO STRAIGHT DOWN THE CRAPPER." Thanks, Discovery. Y'all really rock. -_-
